Domain Registration and Web Hosting both have to do with having a website presence, however they are totally different services which is commonly provided by separate companies.
Domain Registration is where you purchase the use of a specific domain (ie www.yourdomain.com) from an ICANN accredited Registrar. You are simply purchasing the right to use that domain for whatever term you have paid for.
To be able to have a website show up when you do a web search for your domain, you will need to have a web hosting provider (such as OnlineNW) who stores your website files on webspace set up for your domain.
Your Registrar will need to know your Hosting Provider's DNS server information is so they can point your domain's web traffic to your actual website.
