What is DSL?
|

* DSL stands for Digital Subscriber Line.
* DSL is a dedicated connection, which means you aren't sharing it, and won't be sharing access with other subscribers.
* DSL sends your data over a provisioned copper phone line.
* DSL is a burstable technology and is distance sensitive. Copper line quality will affect maximum speeds available. Actual throughput data rates will vary.

How do I know if I qualify for DSL?

To find out if you qualify for DSL service, you should call and speak to a member of our staff (503.883.9200). DSL is not available in all areas.

How do I order DSL Service?
|
|
To order DSL, you should call and speak to a member of our sales staff (503.883.9200), or you can submit an order at http://www.onlinenw.com/dslform . Upon ordering DSL service, you are signifying that you agree with all the terms and conditions of that service, and are liable for the $50.00 provisioning fee. What is physically involved in ordering DSL Service?
|
|
OnlineNW DSL requires the delivery of a new and separate provisioned copper phone line to your physical location. Frontier currently owns the entire copper infrastructure in our area. OnlineNW has to place an order with Frontier for the new DSL line to be conditioned and made available to connect to OnlineNW’s equipment. The new line will be used solely for the transmission of OnlineNW DSL and will have no voice capability on its own. Frontier will charge OnlineNW, not the end user for the delivery of this line.

How do I know when my DSL loop is scheduled to be delivered?
|
|
Once we receive a tentative due date from Frontier, we will notify you by e-mail. Please make sure to give us a valid e-mail address. If you do not have an e-mail address, feel free to call and check for status on your order anytime during normal business hours.

Do I need to be home for Frontier to deliver the DSL Loop?
|
|
Since most phone boxes are located on the outside of a building, In most cases you should NOT need to be present for the simple delivery of the line. However, If you know that your demarc is located inside the building, behind a locked gate, or in a place where the Frontier tech will not have access to deliver the line, please let us know beforehand as we will need to coordinate with you be able to provide them access.

What if I need to cancel my DSL order?
|
|
Orders may be canceled without penalty if you contact OnlineNW and let us know within 3 Business days of order submission. Orders canceled on or after the DSL loop delivery date will be subject to a $50.00 abandoned order fee. Order cancelations need to either be called into our Customer Support (503.883.9200) or e-mailed directly to canceldsl@onlinenw.com.

Can I self-install my DSL?
|
|
You are welcome to come to our office on 340 NE Ford St, McMinnville OR 97128, to pick up a modem. If you have any issues with your self-install, please notify us as soon as possible as there may be an issue with the Verizon line itself, and we will want to get it resolved for you quickly. By choosing this self-install option you are still liable to pay the $50.00 provisioning fee.

What modifications may be necessary to install my DSL?
|
|
Installation may require some modification to the inside telephone wiring at the jack location selected for the DSL installation. The computer or router must be near to a phone jack that is selected to for the DSL installation. Prior to installation at least one computer must have an installed Ethernet connection.

Can I use my own equipment?
|
|
You will need to use the DSL modem provided by OnlineNW, however, from there you can use your existing working equipment. Keep in mind that OnlineNW is not responsible for networking or configuring routers supplied by the customer.

Is payment due at time of install?
|
|
The Provisioning fee is due at the time of order placement, but can be paid at time of install. Other than that, first month, and any purchased additional equipment costs are due at time of install.

Is there a Guarantee?
|
|
OnlineNW offers a 30-day money-back guarantee for DSL service. Only initial activations of OnlineNW services are eligible for this offer.

When does billing start for my service?
|
|
Monthly billing for DSL service will begin on the date service is installed or 5 business days after the new line is delivered by Frontier whichever date is earlier.

Service Termination - What if I cancel my existing DSL Service?
|
|
This DSL account is month to month and a 30-day written notification is required for cancellation. You may cancel your OnlineNW DSL within 30 days of activation and return the DSL modem to OnlineNW for any reason for a full refund. However, if you fail to return your modem received as part of your OnlineNW DSL service within 15 days of your cancellation date, you will be charged the full retail value of the modem
