Before you try any of these troubleshooting steps, it should be clarified that this section are for subscribers to our wireless service. If you are having trouble connecting wirelessly from your computer, please see our area general troubleshooting page.
If you are unable to connect to the internet, try the following.
1. Unplug the power to the radio. This is the antenna on the outside of your building. Where it gets wired into your house, there is a unit that may have a few different appearances. Each photo indicates which cable you should be unplugging:
2. Once you have unplugged the radio, wait ten seconds and plug the power back in.
3. If you have a router, unplug the power to the router for 10 seconds, then plug it back in. If you have multiple computers hooked up to our service, a router would be what allows you to do so.
4. Restart your computer/s.
5. If you still cannot connect, try opening up a different program. For example, if email doesn’t work, try opening up a web page, and vice versa. If you have multiple computers, see if it is just the one, ore all the computers that are having trouble connecting. When you give us a call, it is important to let us know if you have isolated the problem, to a computer, or particular program.
If it does seem that your computer has a complete lack of connectivity, you might want to check out the Network Connections control panel. This gives you valuable information on the state of your connection, and might give you some helpful hints as to whats going on. You can click on the link for more information.
