Phone Troubleshooting

If you experience trouble with your Digital Phone Service, check the following

Check your Internet Connection

ATA/MTA Innomedia Device

  • Your Digital phone ATA is dependant on your internet connection.
  • Make sure ethernet connections are snugly in place
    • WAN port should connect to your internet connection
    • LAN port should connect to your internal network

ATA/MTA Innomedia Device lights

  • Power – should be on
  • Run
  • WAN – Wide Area Network – this light shows status of connection to your DSL modem or Wireless antenna
  • LAN – Local Area Network – this light shows status of connection to your Router or Computer
  • VOIP – Voice over IP – this light shows if the ATA/MTA can connect to the Phone Service
  • Phone2 – 2nd Phone Port – shows if there is a phone connected Line 2 (not always applicable)
  • Phone1 – 1st Phone Port – shows if there is a phone connected to Line 1
